| Taxi Mom is owned as sole proprietorship company by Yolanda Stevenson and based in Richardson, Texas. Taxi Mom is run by family members only to guarantee the safety of each child. Our staff is professional, patient and experienced with kids. Our mission is "getting kids home safely". Our focus is making sure the child is dropped off directly in front of the home and we wait until the child enters the destination safely. When the child is picked up in the morning hours, we have our staff oversee that the child locks the door on their way out of the house and we ensure a safe and timely arrival to school. Taxi Mom was originated in 2004 due to my needs when I used to work in the corporate world and traveled 3-4 days per week. I always worried about my own children getting home. The business name “Taxi Mom” was formed between me and my children. As the owner, I feel the name supports what we do and offers a comfort feeling to my parents. In the 2004-2005 school years, Taxi Mom serviced 5 schools. In the 2005-2006 school years, Taxi Mom grew to service 17 schools. We now service over 30 schools in the Allen, Richardson and Plano areas. Taxi Mom is a home based business. Every new client meets with me in my home and this allows all of my customers to get a feel for who we are and what we do. |
